The hack is totally version specific, the size and offset would need to be updated for each new DMG file.

and if every update will be as complete :)

Updating the hack is simple enough, assuming the disk image type remains the same. If future updates continue to contain a complete runtime, as seems to be the trend, then maintenance is extremely simple. Even so, it would not be difficult to have the port require a couple of these file bundles and combine the original and changed files prior to installation.
