Final Cut Server a Java Client Application??

A minute or so into the getting started tutorial of Final Cut Server http://www.apple.com/finalcutserver/tutorials/#tutorial =gettingstarted you see them launch the client application portion of the application, which starts with Java WebStart!

Now, I have no idea if it is or is not a WO application or what, but it certainly is interesting...
