The code below looks correct. The source of your problems is someplace else.

Thank you everybody for the help, both on and off list.

To sum up:

1. The code I entered from the tutorial was correct.
2. To "remedy" the problem I set a different Main Class in the run dialog.
3. This worked, but it's masking a problem someplace else that nobody has identified.
4. It may be good enough to get through the rest of the tutorial until there's an all-in-one 5.4 install. :-)
