Hi all,

I am working on WOX ao I assume it is my role to answer here.

We did'nt submit WOX pages to websearch engines beceause the project is still
young and we didn't want to alert the whole WebObjects community with an alpha-
quality product.
Well, now, it seems, Wox has been stable and running for some time, so you
can safely use it. Of course, development and bugfixes still occur, but the whole
thing is quite usable.

First, you don't need any special plugin for Eclipse, even thoug it is clearly better to have
at least the subversive and WOLips plugins isntalled for better comfort in Eclipse when working
with WebObjects.
For the Flex side, we always used the Adobe's FlexBuilder, separately from Eclipse. We found that
trying to open both Flex and WO projects in the same Eclipse program often led to problems.

The source tree which is available through the WoxTutorial is fairly obsolete and you shouldn't use it.
Give a try to the sources in http://www.intellicore.info/wox/repos/trunk/
You need 2 frameworks: Wox4j and Wox4f
You can find here also the WoxMovies demo application to show you the basic behaviour you can
expect from both sides Java and Flex.

Hope this helps,

Josef

Hello Ted;

I'm doing some work with integrating Adobe Flex and WO via JSON-RPC at the moment. The flex JSON-RPC client-side is just in developmental state and has not been used in a deployment yet. You can see the sort of workflow in the LEWOStuff overview PDF under "6.23.26" -- let me know if you'd be interested. Conceptually, this works quite differently to WOX though.

cheers.

I have been scouring the net hoping to find some kind of information on integrating Adobe Flex with webobojects.
Can anyone point me to documentation or even a basic tutorial. I can not even make out what I need to install to get a taste of working with Flex and Webobjects.
