The workflow in Entity Modeler is optimized for using prototypes.

Historical point here, actually ... This determined the choice of columns (and which ones are editable) in the table view in Entity Modeler. It's to encourage proper behavior by annoyance with the alternative :) In fact, the only reason scale/precision/width appear is because I gave into Anjo -- I'm actually against those, too.
