Yes. I restarted apache again to make sure, but still the same results. Why would SiteConfig list the app, but not be able to connect to it (find it), and why is the initial URL showing up like a DirectConnect URL? Thanks Guido.

I was wondering something here: you mentioned, you get WODirectConnectEnabled listed as false in the startup parameters - so, you changed the entry in the run config from true to false for WODirectConnectEnabled, right?

Initially, I unchecked that and added -WODirectConnectEnabled false entry to the args tab; the tab to the left of the WO tab that lists all the properties. Then I deleted my entry, reenabled the wo arg and changed it to false. Same results. Not sure what the best practice is; either modifying the WO args, or creating new ones in the arguments tab; I'd think either way would work, but not sure.

Have you tried creating a new run config and tried to change one parameter at a time to find whether it works with a particular situation?

Just tried that, still nothing.

I also found, that adding "WOHost=localhost" didn't always work for me with 5.3.3 - but I haven't done all the stuff you did, so there might be a different setup.

I used localhost due to Chuck's suggestion in the confluence article here:

http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WO/Development+Tools- Running+Through+Apache

Webserver connect is some big pain in the ... to set up with WO. :-/ We have some guys here that are just tired of it and use direct connect.

Couldn't agree more. But there's that whole SSL issue, and I have one app with mysterious javascript issues that might be easier debugged through apache, so a PITA it is;-) Thanks again.
