general prototype questions

Hi all,

I'm about to switch to using prototypes (wonder). A few questions...

1. From what I've read some runtime work is necessary to switch between database specific prototype entities. How does that relate to entity modeler's Database config popup that allows one to simply choose from all the present ones?

2. I do not use wonder, since we focus at the moment only on JavaClient apps. But we need to do the multiple model frameworks / multiple apps setup. What I've tried doing is linking in just ERPrototypes, and not other parts of wonder. WOLips behaves, but can this cause problems down the road? Specifically, is wonder doing the work described in the first question? If so, would it work to skip that and use the Practical WO code to do it manually, thereby using erprototypes, but no wonder?

3. If anyone else wants to share their setup experience that could be relevant, please do!

Thanks,
F
