They aren't going to release new dev tools. You'll just have to make due with the dev environment that at least 50% (if not much more) of all Java developers use.

Apple actually is now paying for some of the WOLips development _directly_!

They aren't going to abandon the platform as they'd have to completely re architect their entire business IT infrastructure.
