You can also grab a (somewhat) recent copy of our source frameworks
from http://www.gvcsitemaker.com/chill/files/gvcframeworks_source.tar.gz
There is a version of this (different name than in the book due to
copyright reasons) in GVCEOFExtensions.

Until this is integrated into ERGenericRecord, the best solution is

If I actually bought Chuck a beer for every time I swore I would
because it makes copying EOs just work so easily, well, Chuck
wouldn't be sober for a long, long time.
Yes, this is assuming a normal state of Chuck-soberness/ity/ocity.

Does anyone have a nice method for Cloning an object that has to-

Has anyone come up with a better solution or a nice method for
doing this? Serialization may be a way but that may carry the

Entity cloning is a deep subject that has been touched on several
times on the list. i.e. Your assumptions might be appropriate for
you but may not be for someone else.
I believe that the best generic implementation of EO cloning has to
be Chuck's EOCopyable stuff in his Practical WebObjects book.
