I started using FogBugz recently. The feature that attracted me to it
was the time tracking which is then used for "Evidence Based
Scheduling" on upcoming projects. Especially since my estimates for
doing work were generally more optimistic than the reality... which
leads to ugly stress levels as deadlines approach.

So far, I like it.
Has anyone seen other Project management tools with a feature like
FogBugz Evidence Based Scheduling?

Hi List,
I would like to know your opinion about project management tools.
We have been using dotProject for planning tasks.
We recently set up bugzilla and installed the free version of tasktop
plugin in eclipse trying to provide a task focus environment to our
development team.
We set up our tasks on dotProject to get a ganttChart that provides
us visibility, then we replicate tasks on Bugzilla via tasktop.
We are just four developers but we want to start doing things in
the better
way. We have chosen open source tools because we do not have a lot of
economic resources.
I have read about JIRA's "5 users for 5 dollars" offer, and this
are my
questions:
1. What's your opinion about bugzilla vs JIRA.?
2. Does JIRA/Confluence's combination really worth?
3. Any recommendations (methodologies, books, webpages, tools, etc)
that
help us on planning projects, cost, proffit, etc?
We've been using FogBugz for contracting work for 5 years. We've also
tried Trac but after playing around with it decided to stick with
FogBugz.
For all our own projects we use Basecamp and it absolutely rocks. We
are thinking of moving all the contracting work (projects for external
clients) to Basecamp as well. We are also using Google Apps, Highrise
and Campfire. And, yes, we are totally sold on the tools/methodology
of 37signals;)

Any comment about the way works for you will be a plus.
Thanks.
