You almost had my money until you mentioned the cod. Hopefully, you eat it fresh and not dried like those crazy Portuguese. ;-) Miguel swears that he will convert me to the love of Bacalhau.

Well, since you mention it... My old home fjord is swimming with the best cod in the universe and we mostly eat it fresh. But Miguel is right - bacalao *is* a delicacy and you would be easily converted if you tasted it :-).

I have tasted it here. It tastes like... dried cod.

(besides, up here, we do far, far worse things to fish than salting and drying. Ugly, terrible, unspeakable, nightmarish things (that taste delicious, though))

Shudder. Like this? http://www.thailandinformation.de/padek-stinkfisch-fischpaste-pla-ra-425-pictures.htm

One idea that I had was for each presenter to make a screen cast as part of rehearsing their presentation. I think it is possible to release the material at nearly the same time as the conference.

That's a very good idea. I'd definitely play along with that. And I have five people up here that would probably go for this package as well.
As for pricing, well - WOWODC has traditionally been quite inexpensive, so it wouldn't have to be much less expensive for E- attendance, right? At least, for us up here being able to "attend" remotely means huge savings - last year, my flight alone was roughly $3.000.-

Ouch!

Oh... And I want bonus material. We're going to need a camera at The Chieftain....

That won't be very interesting without you there to attract the drunken bimbos.

LOL... Who? Me?? Well, the bimbos are always after the money, right? Now that Iceland is bankrupt, I'd probably just attract solicitors, crackwhores and dotnet programmers anyway...

I think they were after the cigarettes.
