You were correct that these files were not being updated....

I did quite a lot of updating and opening files. I had to:
1. open eclipse
2. open the rulemodeler file in the resource folder and save
3. open the rulemodeler file in the build folder and save.
until I did the last stepl the user.d2wmodeler.txt file (in the build area) was not updated
