Yeah, me too
On the opposite, we are giving up on WO because our clients (French
public institutions) want open source solutions.
So doesn't that just require that 'your' solution to their problem be
open source? (Sure - here's our source code - it depends on x,y
libraries to function .. oh and requires non-proprietory mice too ...
and, um, comes at a price... ahh... :) I wouldn't have thought that
libraries in and of themselves solve business problems ;-)
Does this 'requirement' preclude french developers from producing
software that runs on proprietary hardware or operating systems - that
themselves have non-opensource portions of software/hardware/api?
Perhaps the fine-print needs a little more teasing out? It seems an
all too simplistic interpretation...
Where's the line? Better, what's your marketing angle?
