[OT] Eclipse/WOLips Development IP change and now "can't find server"

  • Subject: [OT] Eclipse/WOLips Development IP change and now "can't find server"
  • From: Baiss Eric Magnusson <email@hidden>

After getting the deployment server migrated to the new IP service I tried to then begin to set up the development machine, 10.6.3, WO 5.4, Eclipse/WOLips .

All 3 WO projects report the same kind of direction problem, all I have done is moved from a DHCP to a static IP, <devStaticIPaddress>.

The development machine is connected to the Internet via Ethernet and a fixed IP address, I refer to the IP as <devStaticIPaddress>.

Safari can’t open the page

because Safari can’t find the server
“<devStaticIPaddress>-washington.hfc.comcastbusiness.net”.

Can get to JavaMonitor, no Applications are running.

http://localhost:56789/cgi-bin/WebObjects/JavaMonitor.woa/wo/Zl2jdtD2nJMEDg0oICViB0/0.0.1.0

I get the same result if I change the Host from <localhost> to <devStaticIPaddress>.
