The way I read that is that Backup/Restore are options that are available with the free version, especially when it seems to continue on with creating the DB and the system-level schemas. You'd think that if it goes through the trouble to check to see if the command you are running is allowed, it would say, clearly, that the requested command is not available in the version running, something like "The Backup/Restore command requested is not available in the free/unlicensed version of FrontBase, jerk."

But no matter, an enterprise license is free and easy to obtain, which I did.

Now I just need to download the exact version of FB that was used to make the file. Grr.

On top of that, I can't believe that Kieran didn't rise to the "You're Irish" comment. He must be extraordinarily busy.
