It is logging now. Don't know if it's because it took time to start logging output or if it is because I made the directory "writable" by apache...
Thanks to you all.

That was yesterday.
Does this directory need to be writtable by apache?

I think the directory just have to be writable by the user that runs the wotask app.

Check in the monitor the real path for the log file (Monitor -> Applications -> App Detail View -> Config -> Output Path) and test if the file has be created. If not, probably is a permissions problem, try first to add the full perm at the directory and see if it works.

Bye

Hi, mmm, how much time as passed from you restart app and check the directory?

I'm asking 'cause, when starting app in JavaMonitor, Log flush is not immediate, for example one of my app has flushed the last logs about 3 hours ago.

Hi,

Sorry for my very basic questions, but it's been a while since I had to bother about deployment.
What are the steps necessary to allow logging for an application deployed on LINUX?
I have created a directory, owned by appserver, and told JavaMonitor to log there. But nothing happens...
What I am forgetting here?

TIA
