Here's what I do. I build automatically. I enable bundleless builds. And although it's probably not necessary with bundleless builds, I set up rule modeler to use the WOLips server anyway.

Probably redundant, but I don't think it hurts. If you are not using bundleless builds, you MUST do this last step or changes in the rule file are not reflected in the app until you refresh the workspace.
This only ever fails me when I'm on stage at WOWODC. :-)
