Keyboard Problem

Hi,

The app I'm accessing on a server running solaris 8 has an onscreen keypad
that can be used with a mouse or with the number keys. I'm using the default
"USA.keyboard", but the number keys don't map to the right onscreen keys. I
wanted to try some other maps, like the "Apple.keyboard" and "AppleExt.keyboard",
but they're grayed out. I tried a commercial xserver demo, and it mapped correctly
as-is. Is there a way to resolve this w/o mapping key by key?
