I have created a .Xresources in my home directory and added the

XTerm*saveLines: 1000
XTerm*scrollBar: on
XTerm*thickness: 10
XTerm*background: gainsboro
XTerm*foreground: black
XTerm*faceName: Monaco
XTerm*faceSize: 10
XTerm*reverseWrap: on
I am still not getting a scrollbar on my Xterm. What have I missed?
Also, I used to automatically have a terminal launched when I clicked
to start XTerm. Now I have to click the drop down menu and choose
Xterm? Tia
It looks like your ~/.xinitrc may have a problem. If you have one, it
should do the xrdb -merge on your .Xresources file. It should also
launch your xterm. Is it exiting for some reason before the merge?
Here's my XTerm resources, including ones to make it "Macish":
