hello, is it possible to run kde rootless with 10.2.5? I am running
x11 beta 3, launch it and xterm opens rootless, enter 'startkde' it

do you make it rootless?
You can't right now with Apple X11. Please check the archives.
Actually, you can run *only* rootless. The problem he is having,
however, is that KDE is drawing a desktop. Go into the KDE control
panel and disable desktop icons (if you're using fink, more specific
info on this is in 'fink info bundle-kde')
I have not followed the thread closely. So I may be wrong. But it seems
to me that it's quite natural that he is having kde over aqua. He
should launch an individual K app such as kword instead of executing
startkde, I think.
