I think you mentioned the MS version of Xmouse earlier (now, part of Tweak
UI). On my other computer (Win2K), I use it. I experimented with the (I
believe two) settings related to how quickly the focus will change. The
only problem I have with it now is with a few dialog boxes that lose focus
when I would rather they not. You also mentioned that. But I think if an
Xmouse type ffm for Macs X Window server comes along, the delay feature
would be important in addition to selecting whether auto-raise and lower are
available. I have my Win2K machine set so there is nearly a second's delay
needed and so that the new window gets focus and foregrounds without having
to click. I have become used to that behavior and still find awkward using
a machine that doesn't support it.
