I am trying to get something that will work with the Apple defaults for the
meta key. Is that a good thing or a bad one?

As I only have one Motif application that I use a lot, I could use resources
for that application to get cut, copy and paste, but doing it through the
VirtualBindings should be the right thing to do to get the key bindings for
these standard functions uniform across all Motif applications - and that's
what's done on all the other platforms I've come across that support Motif.
