It may be worth pointing out at this point that although /bin/sh and
/bin/bash may be identical, they will behave differently, as one of
bash's
run-time mechanisms to decide how sh-like to be is to see how it was
invoked.
I'm no longer familiar enough with csh or tcsh to know whether tcsh has
anything similar.
