hi,
I have some trouble running Xman. I can put any path behind the set
MANPATH in my .cshrc in my home directory the result still remains the
same. I get an error message saying "Xman Error: No manual pages found."
At the moment I tried it with this line I got from the archive of this
mailinglist here:
"set MANPATH='manpath -q'"
The result remains the same I stil get the error message. Since I'm
nearly a total newbie to X11 world I have no idea where I my mistake
is.
Typing man wget or man csh, man <application you like> works. So the
PATH setting must be correct or not?
You don't say how you start xman. In case you start it from the
Applications menu in X11, the result is not surprising. It has indeed be
discussed frequently on this list how to give a decent environment to
X11.app or to the applications in the Applications menu. I'll not repeat
this.
If you start xman from the same command line from which the "man wget"
etc commands are working, it should find the manpages, too.
