Well, I don't think I did anything special to X11 ...

The behavior I got is just a very typical virtual desktop. As I switch between virtual desktops, open windows alternate. Yes, this is nothing but what virtual desktops should be, but the beta 1 in combination with Space.app didn't do this.

My use of Dock: I set no magnification effect -- I don't like it. Also, I virtually never put windows into the Dock. -- I miss the "window shade" effect on OS 9. Windows flying away into the Dock are no improvement. Instead, I always leave windows open and switch among six virtual

I'm beginning to realize that there are many ways people want to use virtual desktops - problematic, indeed. I was using the dock to "hide" windows, since the behavior of bringing X11.app to the foreground from the dock now shows all X11 windows - the 0.1 behavior showed none.

Agreed. At first it had promise. If you're in a Space virtual window and dock a window, it docks/undocks fine. Leave it docked, switch to another VW, then come back. I found the docked window(s) had become undocked and couldn't be docked again without first selecting then from the Windows menu, which genied them from the dock to their already opened positions. Docking then worked. Once again, I've left Space (;

The above comment is incorrect - it's not Space related, I'm seeing this odd behavior in X11.app itself. Sometimes open windows cannot be docked. Selecting them from the Windows menu de-genies them to their currently opened location - they can then be docked again.

So I may try Space yet again (try 4!).

Nevertheless, my model would be to have Aqua virtual desktops *and* X11 virtual desktops ....
