When a new xterm is opened from within X11, via the "Applications->Terminal" menu item, what script, if any, gets run?

You set what gets run from the Command field in Customize section of the Applications menu. If you run tcsh, you may want something like to following:

	source ~/.cshrc; xterm

Another option is to start the xterm as a login shell (-ls option).

You can search the archives for much discussion on this.
