Font specified in font.properties not found

We are trying to run Oracle installer on a SUN box running Solaris 8, from
a Mac with X11.

We get the following:
Font specified in font.properties not found [-urw-itc
zapfdingbats-medium-r-normal--*-%d-*-*-p-*-sun-fontspecific]

I have been searching the Oracle, Sun and Mac/OSX/X11 sites...

Anyone run into this problem yet?
