Thanks for your reply. I am still having the problem. When I first had the
problem, I went to preferences, set the Security options both OFF. Then I
exited X11. On my home LAN where all addresses are in the 192.168.0.0/12
range, I could connect and reconnect. But then when I opened the PB at
work, on a LAN with addresses in the 147.133.0.0/255 range, X11 applications
would not respond. So I tried both security options turned OFF, closed and
restarted X11.app. Then back at home same error. This morning I tried
these commands
> > defaults write com.apple.x11 no_auth 1
> > defaults write com.apple.x11 no_listen_tcp 1
and restarted X11.app. But when I opened the PB at home, X11 apps wouldn't
respond again.
Is there something else I can do? Once again, I don't connect to any other
machines that provide X services, so connectivity other than console access
via ssh is not an issue.
