Alas, even Apple's list-processing software is incapable of passing
8-bit characters! The ")" after Option+g should be a copyright sign,
and the "i" after Option+e+e should be an e with an acute accent.
The question remains: how do I configure Apple X11 to enable the use of
the Option key for foreign and special characters, or is there a way to
configure a Multi <compose> key in Apple X11? Thanks,
