I read the FAQ and so on but I think that some of you ignore this fact:
Apple in Italy has ever adopted (until two years ago) the "Italian
typewriter" keyboard which is a QZERTY one with numbers inserted with
SHIFT.
Two years ago Apple tried adopted VT200 PC Italian Keyboard which is
the actual QWERTY keyboard and it's known as "Apple Italian PRO
Keyboard".
I tried XDarwin, XFree from fink, Xtools and now X11 from Apple. The
first three uses the old italian layout (I also tried, with XDarwin, to
rewrite the maps but with no result) but it's impossible to use the
actual layout. When I saw X11 from Apple I thinked "Hey, finally
keyboard problem solved".
It's the worst of the four....
