(except for X11 itself). I would like to duplicate this if possible with Apple's X11, preferably from one single "default" config file.
Is it possible that Apple's X11 doesn't read any additional config files when it starts up but merely uses whatever environment has already been set for all other processes? If so I'll have to go back to XDarwin, which would be a shame because Apple's X11 seems MUCH faster thus far. Thank you again.

1. Apple's X11 is not faster than the latest version of XDarwin (compiled from cvs at xfree86.org).

2. There is no global config file. In another message, I explain how to use a wrapper script that can do what you want.
