1. Apple's X11 is not faster than the latest version of XDarwin
(compiled from cvs at xfree86.org).
Hmm. (gears turning and smoke emerging from my ears) So this would mean
removing my fink packages of XFree86 and installing the current
Xfree86.org's package, which includes Xdarwin?
It would mean checking out the sources via cvs from anoncvs.xfree86.org
and compiling and installing them.

Anyway, it looks like XDarwin.org's version now costs money, but I know
I didn't pay anything for the version I got a year ago...
What are you talking about? You sure you don't mix this up with one of
the CD selling outfits macgimp, osxgnu or whatever. Oh, I see,
xdarwin.com tries to sell a CD with XDarwin on it for $100. Good luck.
Last time I looked, the sources were still open.
Anyone can compile this, put it on a CD and then sell it for $10, $100,
or $1000 if they find someone who is willing to pay.
