Feature request - Quartz window resizing option

  • Subject: Feature request - Quartz window resizing option

Howdy,

Since I frequently run a lot of xterms on a 17" widescreen iMac, I sometimes find myself squeezed for screen real estate. I use the X font resizing capability to choose smaller font sizes, but I think this is cheesy, especially when the xterms are being rendered by OpenGL. (Sometimes when you resize fonts you wind up with unreadable boldface fonts, as when running "top", for example.)

I'd like there to be an option for Quartz-resizing my xterms instead of using the smaller X fonts. A general mechanism for locking the window resize to scaling the rendered window in a nice antialiased way would be VERY cool.

Thanks!

Jeff Kirk
