Because you only have a one-button mouse....

Actually, there are occasions when I like to copy some text, paste it somewhere, do some editing that de-selects the original text, paste the text again, etc.  That's where the keystrokes are useful.

You can do this in Terminal.app as well.  After you have a window set up as you like it, you can Save As...  You can save a single window or a group of windows.

Just tried both of these in Terminal.app, and they worked.
