I run X11 with swedish keyboard by launching X11 from the terminal. I
also tried the X11 Launcher application with swedish keymapping but it
didn't work. The problem reminds me of the good old days when the 8th
bit was stripped during network transmission leaving the swedish edv
with edv... Any ideas?

I you want so, you have to launch it from a Term window !
The command line is :
/Applications/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 -keymap
/System/Library/Keyboards/Francais.keymapping
Or wathever language you want, the keymaps are in directory :
/System/Library/Keyboards/
Instead of Francais you may type Dansk.
2)
Now
create in your home dierctory (e.g. ~/) a file named .xinitrc in
which you put thes following lines :
xmodmap -e 'keycode 66 = Mode_switch'
exec xterm -geometry 80x20+34+0 -ls -sb -rightbar -si -sl 100000 -j &
exec quartz-wm
The second step my also be done by the little helper application "X11
Launcher". With it no start up from Terminal.app is needed. You my get
it f.e. from <http://www.versiontracker.com/>
