I'm seeing two problems when I iconify ("minimize") a window:
1) The icon for the window only seems to appear in the Dock the first
time it's iconified. Every other time nothing appears in the dock at
all, however the space where an icon should be is there. It's as if
the icon is invisible. (Probably many other people have seen this and
reported it already, I would think, but I felt I should mention it
anyway.)
2) If a window is iconified and it receives a beep (the X11 program
produces a beep using the X11 routine to do so), then it will uniconify
and pop to the top of whatever else you're doing. (Well, it'd be nice
to be able to configure that, but I guess it's ok. That's not the
issue here.) Once it has uniconified and popped to the top, you can't
iconify it again! Double-clicking on the header doesn't do anything,
clicking on the yellow "-" button doesn't do anything. I found by
playing around that actually the problem is that the window manager
seems to not know it's uniconified. Simply punching on the (invisible)
icon in the Dock lets the WM know it's now uniconified and now you can
reiconify it just fine!
I really like the speed improvement over XDarwin, by the way! Thanks
Apple!
