Codetek's workspace pager is pretty good. The problem is as noted in several
posts that the standard move events are ignored by both Apple's X11 server
and XDarwin. The result is that X11 windows behave as expected (and appear
in an allocated workspace) and can be moved around under X11, but if X11
windows are moved in the pager, there is confusion as to where they actually
are: the X11 server believes they are where they were before they were moved
in the pager.
If Apple are listening please take note of the pleas for integrated virtual
desktops throughout MacOS X. If that is too low a priority, at least ensure
that the X11 server co-works with Codetek's offering. I would have thought
thsat that was relatively straightforward.
How do people work without virtual desktops??????
