XMMS, Fink and X11

Hey,

I'm a newbie to unix/linux/anything to do with the terminal, and so am
looking for any help anyone can provide.

I've heard a lot of good things about XMMS, and while I like iTunes, I
find it to be a bit of a cpu hog on my machine (iBook 500). Is XMMS any
better cpu wise? If so, would anyone be kind enough to give me some
basic, step by step instructions for getting it working on my machine?
