Please, no. Let's not propagate the use of xhost ...
Just to add some of the reasons behind what Steve said you know after
running "xhost +" _anyone_ can take snapshots of your screen and sniff
all of your keystrokes and mouse movements without you being any the
wiser. Passwords... Recipes... Letters to your mom...

P.S. They probably can't swipe anything not running under X11 but then
again one could make a strong case for that being a bug which may well
be fixed in the future. I know that one person has already mentioned
the problems with screen capture on this very list...
