Just out of curiosity, I tried dtpad by sshing to a local Solaris 2.8
machine, and I didn't have any problems with dtpad. I tried several
menu items and they seemed to work OK. I have had problems trying to
run Iris Explorer remotely, though. I'm using OroborOSX as a window
manager -- I had to rename X11.app to XDarwin.app and make a few other
changes to make OroborOSX think that X11 was XDarwin, but other than
that I didn't really change much. I'm also running 10.2.3.

I observed some mysterious crashes using the dtwm editor dtpad (OK,
who uses this anyway...).
When connected to a Solaris 2.8 machine by ssh -X (from OS X 10.2.3
with X11 Public Beta, keymapping and some xmodmap entries changed),
dtpad seems to work fine at first sight. However, once a menu entry of
dtpad is activated by mouse click, x11.app reproducibly crashes with
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001)
.
What's more, this crash does (equally reliably) not occur if "dtcalc
&" is started before "dtpad &".
Has anybody experienced similar problems? Any idea why this should be
the case?
