xterm respects the -geometry option but I think you have to set up a .xinitrc file and specify it there.

"man 7 X" for details on geometry. xterm expects characters for the size and pixels for the position. which is taken from the upper left corner of your array of monitors and will not honor the negative coordinates of the Mac OS.

xterm -geometry 80x40+1400+375 &     for my array.

It won't matter for xinit but watch out for geometry on another *NIX box - Linux for instance - The conventions are different requiring an = sign after the --geometry key.
