Despite that thing crashing the behaviour is perfectly as designed:
1) X11/quartz-wm does not convert Word (or whatever) to plain text via
clipboard, but that is propably implemented soon. Would be VERY USEFUL.
2) Once your quartz-wm died you had no wm. That is: no Window
Manager. So you still had windows, but no manager. They were there
but unmovable. Not even the keyboard focus could be changed luckily
the focus still was on one xterm to restart the management of those
windows.
