Hi,
I have been experimenting with key bindings for various reasons, and
have found that somehow I have lost my original bindings! Specifically, in
emacs, Command used to work as my Meta key as long as I unchecked the
"Enable key equivalents under X11" box in the Preferences. Is there an
easy way for me to debug this problem? At the same time, I would be very
happy if I could figure out the best way to change around my modifier key
bindings in general without running into trouble. Specifically, I would
like to set things up so an external non-Mac keyboard could be used with
my iBook. I have a whole host of questions on this topic (both X related
and MacOS X related), but for the moment it would be great if anyone could
point me to tools that would help with remapping. I am familiar with
xmodmap, but I am unsure about how to capture the keycodes that my
keyboard(s) are sending. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike
