Hi,
I found the xev program, which helped enormously in pinning down what
keycodes my Kinesis keyboard was sending. I now have working Meta keys
(yay!) when I ssh into my linux box. I am still not sure how to get my
command keys onto my non-Mac keyboard without giving up both my Alt keys,
but that will have to wait. In the meantime, I still can't figure out why
my local (darwin) copy of emacs doesn't recognize my Meta key (it dislikes
both the iBook's command key and the Alt key on my external keybaord). If
anyone has any ideas, let me know.
Thanks,
Mike
