Hi Alistair,

Hi
I'm a newbie who isn't sure that he's in the right place. Playing around
with alternatives to AppleWorks for opening MSWord docs cleanly on my
eMac (10.2.6) I got pointed to OpenOffice,Org which in turn pointed me
to x11. Downloaded all right. And OpenOffice does what it says.
My only problem is that I can't print the files onto my HP935C.
Is there a driver missing? Is the gap inherent in the x11-OSX linkages?
Can anyone help (without offering screeds of code)
Take a look at the Mac OS X Testing Forum on www.ooodocs.org. There
follow the forum link in the left menu bar and then choose the Mac
OS X Testing forum.
In this forum you will easily find a lot of hints on how to get
printing working with OpenOffice.org and which printers have
problems and what can help to solve these problems.
First thing would be to look for an official HP driver for OS X. If
there is none take a look at the GIMP Print project.
Next is to update to ESP-Ghostscript 7.0.5-5. It can be found via
Google.
Third take a look at the forum.
Fourth, we are currentliy testing the 1.0.3 Final Release and fix
the last printing bugs so that we hopefully can delievere a final
which prints with if not all then with most of the current printers
out there. Problem is there are so many out there and each one
behaves diffrent from the other.
Hope this helps
Eric
