This might be of use to some of you.
I found in one of the OS X hints pages the following command:
pbpaste
It will allow you to display the "Paste" selection from quarts into an
X11 app. It is cumbersome, but it works.
It is much better than saving to a file and reloading it inside X11.
dmg
P.S. I am also disappointed that Apple has decided not so support X11
1.0 in Jaguar. This is my first Mac and I am feeling that Apple really
trying to milk as much as it can from its users. I like the hardware,
a lot (I got a Powerbook), but I will not grow dependent of a company
that wants to sell me a new version of everything for something that I
don't really need (I hardly use quarts, in fact, I find it cumbersome
and difficult to use --even if the font rendering is beautiful).
It is very sad that the people who are testing X11 are being pushed
aside. A great way to say thank you!
