I have looked through archives about how to get a different window manager
running and it basically makes sense to me how to do it. And yet, when I
restart X11 with **any** of the window managers I have tried, all I get is
an X-term that is pinned to the upper left corner that basically is of no
value.
What I have done thus far is to download a number of different wm's using
fink and then created a .xinitrc and included the line:
exec windowmanager
where windowmanager is one of the 5 or 6 I have tried.
Can anyone tell me what steps I am missing?
I really appreciate this list because from what I have seen of X11, it
really makes for a beautiful combination of open source and apple.
Rick
