Launching X11 apps while keeping X11.app in the back

We are developing apps that require X11. These apps are called from regular MacOS apps (i.e. Maya). The problem is that when the app starts, X11.app bring all the other X11 apps (i.e. xterm) in front. It looks like X11.app is behaving like a multi document application.

Is there a way to start a new X11 application while leaving X11.app alone ? This won't bring to front all related X11 apps already running.
