Yes, I've seen the same problem when running just aixterm windows
exported (I'm using ssh -X) back from an AIX host to my Mac. I don't see
this delay with the XonX XDarwin code. It happens with both the beta
.02 and beta .01 of X11. Also I don't see this delay if I export an
xterm window back from AIX or from another Mac. It appears to be
associated with non-xterm windows exported back to a Mac. I have not
found any work around for this. I've been looking for an easier way to
reproduce this so I could report this in bugreporter.

I am using the X11 beta to run an application on a Solaris system.
The application creates one large window, within that there is a place
where type-in is expected to appear, and the application also
interprets mouse clicks in various ways. Everything works fairly
well, until I grab the X11 window by its title-bar and move it to a
different place on the Mac screen (G4 powerbook with an Apple 17"
flat-panel, running over a DSL to the Solaris machine). After the
move, the application is dead for about 20 seconds. The blinking
type-in caret that the application puts up doesn't blink, type-in that
the application echoes back to the screen doesn't appear, and
mouse-clicks have no effect. It seems that the type-in is buffered
somewhere, because after about 20 seconds the caret starts to blink
again and the "lost" type-in gets echoed.
It may be that the application is running and receiving input during
this delay period but that its display commands back to the server are
not being processed so that there are no screen updates.
Has anyone experienced a similar symptom--delay after moving the X11
window? Any ideas about what to do?
Thanks--
Ron Kaplan
