This can easily be fixed by replacing twm with quartz-wm.
To do so open the xinitrc with whatever is your favourite Editor, I use
pico for editing such files, by typing sudo <name of texteditor>
xinitrc. The xinitrc file should show up. Scroll down to the line where
it says twm &. Delete twm. Type quartz-wm. The line now should look
like "quarz-wm &". Shut down your current X11 session and restart it.
Now launching Apple's X11 should launch quartz-wm instead of twm. You
can do so for every other windowmanager. Simply replace the twm with or
the other name with the one you wish to have as the new default launch
up windowmanager.
